Justin Fischer and his wife, Melissa both grew up in Novi and are graduates of Novi High School.  They have been happily married for 14 years and have two children who attend Novi Community Schools, Jack (11 years) and Lillian (7 years). Justin and Melissa also opened their home to their niece and nephew, Taylor and Jacob, who live there when they are not away studying at their respective universities.

Justin has a long history of service Novi. He was first elected to City Council in 2009.  He served until 2014, when he had to resign due to an overseas work assignment with Ford Motor Company. In 2019, Justin was elected again to City Council and was re-elected in 2021 and served until his election as Mayor of Novi in 2023. 

Prior to being elected to City Council, Justin served on Novi’s Zoning Board of Appeals and Novi Parks Foundation.  Justin also had experience in the office of State Senator Nancy Cassis (Lansing) and Congressman Mike Rogers (Washington, D.C.).

Justin received both his MBA and BA in Finance from Michigan State University.  He is employed by Adient, a tier-1 global automotive seating supplier (spin off from Johnson Controls) as a Director in the Corporate Treasury Department.  Before his current role, Justin spent 15 years at Ford Motor Company in various finance management positions, including a 3-year international assignment in Dubai, UAE.
